Green River Eddy’s Tap Room at Saluda Outfitters offers an adventure sports bar atmosphere, craft beers on tap and wine with live music on an expansive newly constructed deck overlooking Main Street and Ozone Road.

Named for the popular and nearby Green River and its eddies that attract whitewater adventurers from far and wide, the cozy log cabin adventure retail store was renovated in spring 2018 to include the tap room. The inside of Green River Eddy’s features a winding bar made from locally sourced hickory and hand-shaped copper that leads to the outdoor deck. There you will find additional seating under umbrellas on warmer days and near warm fire pits for those cool summer evenings.

The tap room and deck feature many unique touches, including woodcarvings by local chainsaw artist Ted Travers who also created a 450 pound, 5-foot-6-inch American Eagle carving. The Eagle overlooks entry onto Saluda’s Main Street from I-26 and Ozone Road.

The bar currently sports 14 taps with a selection of more than 30 craft beers in cans and bottles from the Asheville, Charlotte and Greenville area, as well as your favorite domestic beers and a wine selection.

Green River Eddy’s t-shirts, bearing the unique logo designed by graphic artist Chris Wing of H2o Dreams, are available for sale. The logo is also featured on the back of custom-made barstools designed and crafted by the Artful Pallet of Asheville, N.C.

A new commercial kitchen and grill at the outfitter allows patrons to choose from a select menu that includes made-to-order 8-ounce Angus burgers, fresh-cut fries, and a variety of vegan and vegetarian items. The menu may vary to include other items during the summer tourism influx, which could also call for expanded kitchen hours.

The newest entertainment venue in this small historic town, you have to visit to appreciate its uniqueness. Free live music provided by area bands and musicians is scheduled Saturdays from 5-8 p.m. at this kid and pet friendly location with additional music dates anticipated throughout the summer months.
