October Festivities at Saluda Outfitters

Green River Eddy’s Tap Room continues to feature 14 taps of various local craft beers and has a good selection of wines as well. The Big Hungry Food Truck will be cooking each Thursday and Friday from 4-9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon to 9 p.m. Come by and try our new menu items that include chicken fingers with fries, apple pies, mozzarella sticks and mahi mahi tacos.
Our live music venue continues to host different musical entertain from around the area each Saturday from 5-8 p.m. on our expansive deck with some special events coming up. Join us Oct. 20 for a Hi-Wire Tap Takeover from Hi-Wire Brewery in Asheville and a special 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, celebration of the Green River Race with recording artist Pam Taylor of Lancaster, SC and an Oskar Blues Tap Takeover. Live Music at Saluda Outfitters
Saturdays, 5-8 p.m., on the outdoor deck or from inside Green River Eddy’s Tap Room if the weather is too cool or rainy with special tappings as scheduled.
Oct. 6, 5-8 p.m. | Second Souls, is a band of five to six talented musicians from the local area including Saluda who will make a return visit to the deck as we kick off the October harvest season with some lively music and fun. Currently, the band features Kyle Lami and Mark Lauer on drums and percussion; Bill Loftus, guitar and harmonica; Daniel Norton, bass and keyboard; and Steve Prickelmyer, guitar.
Oct. 13, 5-8pm I The Basement Bunch, a super talented group from Tryon, N.C., offers substantial rock and roll. Featuring Jim Peterman (formerly of the Steve Miller Band) on keyboards, Elaina Previtt on guitar, Robbie Johnson on drums, Vinnie Corda on sax, Mark Kennedy lead guitar and Mike Locke vocals and rhythm guitar.
Oct. 20, 5-8pm | The Michael Flynn Duo from Saluda will make its debut on the SO deck. FLynn is a Saluda-based singer-songwriter who spent much of his career fronting the Indie rock band Slow Runner. He is joined by Jonathan Gray who has played professionally for 30 years, most notably in the band Jump, Little Children. Join us also for a Hi-Wire Tap Takeover that evening featuring the Asheville brewery’s best craft beers.
Oct. 27, 5-8pm |The popular Derek McCoy Trio from WNC will share their talents during a Halloween Weekend celebration bringing the party to life with their funk, country, blues and jazz. McCoy is noted as one of WNC’s best guitar players, having been in the industry for more than 28 years. http://derekmccoymusic.com
Nov. 2 (FRIDAY), 6-9 p.m. | This special evening of music and fun will feature an Oskar Blues Tap Takeover as part of a Green River Race Celebration Party and the music of the popular South Carolina Pam Taylor Duo. Nov. 3, 5-8 p.m. |The Pam Taylor Duo from South Carolina will bring their American modern roots music to the SO deck in a special appearance. A popular blues musician, Taylor “serves up a positive message” with her music.
