June News and Activities
There is always something new going on at Saluda Outfitters. Just arrived are our Pyranha kayaks and SailFin paddle boards. Saluda Outfitters is a Pyranha kayak dealer and can set you up with the right size and type kayak for your outdoor adventure. The store has also signed on to be the exclusive North American dealer of SailFin Watersports inflatable stand up paddle boards.
These SailFin paddle boards are designed and engineered in the United States. Each comes with a collapsible paddle, center fin, high-pressure hand pump with gauge, leash, repair kit and carry bag for storage and easy transport.
Bike Shop News
Additionally, Saluda Outfitters is a Giant bicycle dealer and a new shipment of Giant and Liv bikes has just arrived. Our bike shop is booming with sales and repairs. A qualified bike shop manager is in-house from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. But the bike shop is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for parts and accessory purchases or bike drop-offs. We still have some 2018 bikes that are up to 20% off. Saluda Outfitters also offers E-bikes, road and mountain bikes for half or full day rentals.
For the fishermen and women, we have added some custom fishing rods by Trout Cruisers Unlimited. Made in Candler, N.C., by David West, an experienced fisherman, these rods are light weight and custom fit. All rods are rated for varying weight lines and come with a metal case for safe storage. We also have flies, nylon leaders and other gear from Umpqua. Be sure to stop by for your fishing gear before heading to the Green River.
Don’t forget Dad
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16. Come by Saluda Outfitters and check out our new Marmot, Kuhl and Meridian Line shirts, shorts, pants and tees that make great gifts for any dad. Don’t know what to get, purchase a gift card and let Dad decide. He may want to try on some of the latest Chaco Olukai or Keen shoes and sandals.
We are introducing Free Fly apparel into our already great clothing assortment. Free Fly combines the incredible comfort of bamboo with a touch of quick-dry material that is moisture wicking and more breathable than cotton. We will have styles for both him and her.
Also added is Meridian Line sportswear for him. This is a great outdoor style for summer. A new shipment of Chaco’s arrived with great new styles and colors.
For Dad or Mom or just for a gift for yourself or a friend, we have a newly arrived selection of hand-poured candles from Modern Forestry sporting our SO logo. Drop by and take a sniff of the variety of tempting odors: thunder showers, campfire, red current sage, orange sandalwood, peach orchard and more. We have 16 ounce, 8 ounce and 4 ounce amber jars and 4 ounce cans. Additionally, we stocked a new supply of Red Clay goats milk soaps in all your favorite varieties.
Smokey the Bear is 75
Yes, it is true. Smokey the Bear, who has been teaching our kids about fire protection, has turned 75 and we have a whole line of cool clothing and accessories to help celebrate. Designed by Chaco and the Landmark Project, we have Smokey logo tees, caps, bracelets, Chacos and collectible enamel camp mugs. These items make great gifts. All encourage wildfire prevention with Landmark Project dedicated to giving back 10% of all Smokey products sold to the Smokey Bear Fund for Wildfire Prevention Education.
Our sales closet has become very popular. Come by and check out these hot sales from 40-60% off for shoes and clothing. You never know when you will find that special deal you’ve been waiting on.
