SALUDA, NC (May 2020) | We hope everyone is enjoying the beauty of spring flowers in the mountains while we continue to shelter at home from the COVID-19 virus and await word from the state when our local businesses are safe to reopen. We are staying positive that life will return to normal soon for all of us.

When we are allowed to reopen Saluda Outfitters and Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill, we will continue with our great food truck menu and our live music on deck. We, and the bands, are eager to return to our outdoor music venue to entertain our dedicated customers. We have a great lineup of bands that includes some of our favorite returning bands and some new talent from around Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

Here is a little tease of some of the bands we have booked for this summer and fall: Second Souls, The Basement Bunch, 28 Pages, The Dancing Fleas, OLM Band, Astro Sauce, Mother McCree’s Family Band, Exit 83 Band, Mo-MoJo Blues, Blue Ridge Buskateers, Strange Bird, Hummingtree Band, Chris Ferree & Medicine Crow, Borderline Quintet, Vince Jr. Band, The Well Drinkers and Zendetta. These local and very talented musicians provide us with everything from rhythm & blues, to funk, to rock’n’roll, to lots of Americana and much more. We always enjoy hearing our old time favorites and the originals these musicians share with us.

We will also continue our Friday night Open Mic Nights with great musical hosts like Doc Lewis, Steve Pricklemeyer, Ryan Price (Human Ladder), Gary & Vicky Goodspeed, Mark Dawson, Bill Loftus, Donald Yelton and many more!

Music days and hours will be Open Mic Fridays, 6-9 p.m.; Live Music Saturdays, 5:30-8:30 p.m. We invite you to join us for free musical entertainment and dinner on the deck or inside the tap room where we offer 16 taps of craft beer, domestics and a selection of wine.

April and May are also times when we should be getting some of our spring/summer apparel, so we have that to look forward to and hope you will stop by as soon as possible to take a look. We will all be ready for something new to wear to cheer us up by then.

And, don’t forget about our bike shop sales. We still have a few bikes left, Giant and Liv. They are at rock bottom dealer prices. You can’t get a better deal on a high quality bike. For information on those bikes now or for anything else you need to speak to us about, email and we will see if we have one that meets your needs Exercise is one of the best ways to help us get through these trying times.

Also, remember there are area resources for those who need a little helping hand. One great resource we support is the Thermal Belt Outreach Ministry, This organization located in Columbus has received grants to provide takeout meals at various local restaurants. Check their website for updates on meals and other help this organization offers those in need or call 828-894-2988.
