NOVEMBER NEWS AND ACTIVITIES
Saluda Outfitters and Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill is closed from Monday afternoon, Nov. 29, until Thursday, Dec. 2, to give the staff a much needed break after an extremely busy holiday weekend. The business will reopen Thursday morning at the usual time as we prepare for the upcoming Christmas shopping season! We hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
New retail coming in almost daily.
November reminds us that winter is on its way and Saluda Outfitters’ retail and shoe departments are stocked with the latest in fall and winter attire. You will love the classic Kuhl Sedona Sunset flannel shirt with soft fleece lining. This makes a great gift for him, whether it is a birthday or Christmas gift. Match that up with Astral’s Nature First PET boots made with 100% recycled plastic bottles meant to help the environment while providing a truly fashionable and long-lasting boot.
There is also the Kaskade Krew merino wool tops and bottoms for those cold winter days and nights. These are super soft and natural odor resistant. Keeping drier means you are also keeping warmer. We also have a supply of Smith River wading boots and a fresh supply of custom fishing rods.
Just in are our Avant featherless jackets for women, some very stylish winter vests and pullovers that go great with Chaco’s low cut boots. Saluda Outfitters has a ton of gift ideas and stocking stuffers such as candles, unique chap sticks, Socksmith’s uniquely decorated socks (think animal or holiday patterns), Smartwool beanies and Kuhl skull caps. For those adventure seekers, the Outfitters has a fresh supply of camping, hiking and fishing gear, rain coats and warm outdoor apparel.
Always popular are our children’s bear hoodies with Saluda logo on front, the SO or Eddy’s logo 16-oz tumblers, long and short sleeve tees and warm hoodies. Shop early while supplies last and size selections are abundant.
As a Giant bicycle dealer, we have been able to get some great bikes in stock, but they are limited. Right now we have the Giant Contend AR road bike, the ATX mountain bike and the Escape gravel bike. If you are in the market for a new bike this year, or to give as a gift, check with the store asap! And, don’t forget, we have a bike shop stocked with parts and accessories that also make great gifts.
*Make sure to check in with us on November 26 for our Black Friday super sale!
Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill
Eddy’s is so much more than just a tap room. The bar features 16 taps of craft beers, a great selection of canned beers and wines. Our talented bartenders can also serve up your favorite cocktails.
What makes our grill unique is that we have a commercial prep kitchen downstairs and cook in our very popular stationary food truck. There is no ordering at the food truck window and waiting in line to get your food like typical food trucks. Oh no! At Eddy’s, you order inside the bar, choose your seat and your food is delivered to you. We have plentiful seating indoors and on our extensive deck outside overlooking the entrance to Main Street.
Our menu includes a variety of dishes from Pad Thai to pork, shrimp and Mahi tacos. Of course, we offer the best ½-pound, freshly cooked to taste burgers with fries. Come try our in-house smoked pork or our homemade Szechuan Cowboy chili, great for a cold day. We even offer a children’s menu and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks for kids and adults.
Live Music Venue
Through December, we’ll continue offering bands on Friday and Saturday nights from 7-10 p.m. While we can, we’ll keep our music outdoors centered around our heaters; however, we now have a fantastic stage indoors so live music can continue throughout the winter months.
As we begin to book musicians for 2022 for our live music venue, area musicians are encouraged to submit to firstname.lastname@example.org their contact information including phone number, a short bio, a sample set list and links to their Facebook or website. (Check out our full music listing for November elsewhere in this publication.)
