It is June already and we are so happy to be back open seven days a week to serve our loyal customers and welcome new ones! It has been a difficult couple of months for all Saluda business owners and we are grateful to the Saluda mayor, town and county officials for their support of local business and for their help in restarting the economy here.

Please check out this great article about Saluda Outfitters published in the Beverly-Hanks “Welcome to Western North Carolina Magazine” recently, along with some other super articles about our little historic town of Saluda. Just click on the following link: You can also stop by Saluda Outfitters to pick up a copy.

Saluda Outfitters is super excited that new apparel shipments are arriving almost daily. Customers can look forward to the new selection of KÜHL for men and women. Our shoe department is being stocked this spring/summer with 2020 Chacos, Keen hiking and water shoes, Astral, and Olukai shoes and sandals. Saluda Outfitters has the only full shoe department in town, so be sure to check out the new styles.

Additionally, we have received new T-shirts by Meridian Line and Landmark Project. There is a brand new shipment of Howler Brothers men’s clothing and hats; new Saluda Outfitters and Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill logo tees and hats with leather logo patch by Richardson. Plus some of our locals’ favorites — Socksmith free-spirited summer socks, Saluda Outfitters Modern Forestry candles in new summer scents and Red Clay goat’s milk soaps including our hot sellers and wonderful summer fragrances.

You will need sunglasses to fight the summer sun, so come in for a new pair of Suncloud sunglasses in a variety of styles from aviator to rimless. And what better way to enjoy the outdoors than in an ENO hammock.

We also want you to know that we are making every effort to have product in our store that is either made entirely in the USA or manufactured in partnership with the USA and specific countries (excluding China).

We have a great lineup of bands to play on our extensive outdoor deck during dinner hours for both Friday Open Mic Nights and Live Music Saturdays that includes some of our favorite returning bands and some new talent from around Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina. On the deck, tables are socially distanced. Menus, tables, bathrooms and retail are being constantly wiped down and cleaned for the safety of our staff and customers and all staff will adhere to strict rules of not coming to work if they have any symptoms of any type of sickness at all.

In our Bike Shop, we still have some great deals on Giant and Liv bicycles and accessories. We are redoing our downstairs bike shop to provide better service. Customers will be surprised to find some other changes in retail and the tap room when they return to town for summer visits. We’ve used the down time mandated over the last few weeks by the pandemic response to do some cleaning and renovations. We think customers will be very pleased with the changes.

Stay in touch via our Facebook page @saludaoutfittersnc where we routinely post updates; on Instagram @saludaoutfitters; or on our website:

Stay safe and healthy and come see us soon so you can “Come In, Gear Up & Get Outside” for some much deserved summer fun and relaxation!
