28 Pages is a WNC band, blending a tapestry of multiple music genres together, which results in an energetic, well-rounded live show. Fronted by the blissful, soulful, powerhouse lead vocals of Rosie Balla, they specialize in formulating their own unique interpretation of rock, blues, and various other elements in between. Depending on the audience and environment, song selection can vary and is flexible. Along with Rosie on lead vocals, band mates include Andy Balla/drums, Christan (CJ) Justus/bass/vocals, Steven Posey/keyboard/vocals and Wayne McAlister/lead guitar.

Take 3 is a blues-based rock’n’roll trio playing a variety of upbeat rock music from old to new, meshing together the classic roots of rock’n’roll through the years. Some of the band’s influences are Eric Clapton, Jim’s Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The White Stripes and Waylon Jennings. The trio has been playing together for almost a decade and have been friends even longer. They come from Greenville, Greer and Mill Spring and love a fun energetic crowd that likes to have a great time. Band mates are Ken Kallenbach/bass guitar; Rich Pocock/drums; and Shaun Mitchell/vocals/guitar/harmonica.

Quickchester
Friday April 24th
Quickchester is a 5-piece band from Asheville that will bring its “genre-fluid” style to its debut at our live music venue. Paul Quick and Mark Chester began as a duo more than a decade ago playing folk music and a handful of original songs in coffee shops and open mic events around Asheville, NC. Today, Quickchester has a library of more than 30 original songs and some 100 covers. Paul plays lead electric guitar while Mark backs on acoustic rhythm guitar, and both are contributing songwriters. Singer/songwriter and flute player Kyley Byrd rounds out the three-part vocal harmonies, with drummer Stu Way and bassist J.D. Smith holding down the rhythm. Their music is a blend that ranges from indie rock and folk to good ol' rock’n’roll.

Ned Lucas Band is a 3-piece, high-energy unit that plays original blues and rock’n’roll. With 3 critically acclaimed CD’s that have received airplay worldwide this band knows how to please a crowd. Ned Lucas is a true triple threat. Not only is he a smokin’ guitar-slinger and a monster on the Hammond B3 organ, he also writes all the original songs his band performs like “Mica Moon” that has received airplay in numerous markets across the US. For covers, the band chooses songs that reflect the influences of great artists like Joe Cocker and The Beatles. Playing a Fender Stratocaster, the workhorse of the electric blues, through an old tweed tube amp and a LED lighted Leslie cabinet, the sound is instantly recognizable. This band brings a full-size Hammond organ to every show. The rhythm section for the band includes Sam Savoca on drums and George Fiori on bass. These guys are pros and have been together for over 8 years, 4 with The Ned Lucas Band. Sam's drumming is best described as hard-hitting, precise, and deep in the pocket. George is a solid bassist with experience in numerous genres and confidently secures the foundation of this trio.

There is never a dull moment after the group of five talented musicians kick off the evening of free live music with lead singer Reggie Fowler. He is supported by band mates and guitarists Ben Smith and Brady Caldwell, Jason Martin on bass and Michael Jackson keeping the heartbeat of the band on drums.

Band leader is Rick Hornyak, a talented singer/songwriter with a list of original tunes and two albums. In addition to sharing his originals, the band runs down a list of some 30 popular cover songs from Americana and classic rock greats like Tom Petty, Steve Miller, The Beatles and even Chuck Berry.

Tasha Ann features country and Christian singer Tasha Ann. This young musician is graced with powerful vocals with tones that range from the sweetest whispers to the raspy, soulful growls of a more mature artist. Like many country artists, she got her start in church. Whether singing praise songs or her originals, she gives each performance 100 percent, as does her band mates Dale Huffman, acoustic guitar; Liam Pippert, acoustic guitar and Craig Robinson, electronic drums, who will perform with her.
